Medical microneedling at Skinbeam is done with a device called Skin Pen. Thousands of tiny punctures are made on the surface of the skin, and this action triggers the body’s healing process. This treatment is made extra powerful by the addition of your own platelet rich plasma, made in the office, which has an opportunity to penetrate the skin while the microneedling is going on.

Platelet rich plasma is used in many medical applications. In this application, growth factor, collagen and elastin are stimulated by your body’s own mechanisms and the result is glowing, firm smooth skin. PRP is obtained by a blood draw and centrifuge technique to separate and draw off the PRP. It just takes a few minutes.

Downtime is minimal, approximately one day, with redness and stiffness of the face. You’ll be sent home with moisturizing product and aftercare instructions.
